Had a nice easy run this morning with my friend Kassi. It feels so good to be out and exercising in the mornings again. My workouts have been so sporadic since I got here. I didn't end up getting up to swim yesterday morning and now I feel like such a slacker. Ah well. That's the nice thing about off-season. I can rest when I want and just enjoy this time. It's great.

It's October 17. Training has taken a back seat in the last little while - I was running with the cross country team and promptly got injured, so I had to stop. I've gotten a few decent workouts in at the pool and on my bike. Haven't been running as much as I want (or need) to. Starting last week I've begun to get back on the training bandwagon. I have 8 months before race season. A lot of time to build up my base endurance and get stronger. Seeing Cory really helped me get my motivation back - thanks babe! I wish he were here to train with, or that I had someone that I could chat with about training all the time. It's hard to self-motivate all the time. I miss the comraderie of the team. And I just don't have time to get involved with a tri-team here. At least, not right now. Maybe in the spring. We'll see.
